The Cheap airpods from Aliexpress? Are they any good?

This Time I gonna be reviewing the BAseus WO4

Now I am almost certain that 95% of you never heard of it, These very similar-looking earbuds are from Aliexpress, and today we're gonna talk about if you should consider them- roll the intro.

The Package

Let's start with the package, the will arrive in a small cardboard box with their official signature. There is no power supply included so you need to get one yourselves. You only get manual witch is in Chinese and English language and charging cable. Then the base with the earbuds themselves. I have the all-white variant, but they are available in 4 colours: Black, white, pink/rose gold and grey colour. You see from the get-go, that the design is quite similar. You don't get any cover bag, so you need to be careful and have the base in the same pocket as your keys.

The Design

There is not much to talk about here since the earbuds are inspired by apple earpods. Earbuds themselves are the exact copy of the design. The only difference is visible on the base of the earbud.

The base has Baseus carved on it, from the bottom you find USB C which I will happily accept. On the front side are 4 dots indicating how much you can recharge from the base before the base itself needs to be charged.

Now the supported technology, this is where it gets interesting

The seller advertises, that both earbuds are equipped dual end connection, that is faster than blinking. What does this means is, that both puds are equipped with dual processing chips. The left bud and the right bud can be connected simultaneously after they receive the signal from your mobile device. This also means that the sound will not get desynchronised. They slow down the delails and cannot be disconnected if you don't press the button yourself.

Is a highly elastic compound, which is restoring subtle voice and supports instrumental to bass boosted music.

Fitting.

The fitt me very well, they close the ear canal and are holding even if running. So if you are a sports person, you will get good comfort while running.

Weight.

one earbud weighs 3,5 grams and together with the base, you have about 30 grams of weight, ideal for long travels.

Technology and parameters.

NO ANC included, Passive noise cancelling does the alright job to separate the other noises from your music.

Big plus is Bluetooth 5.0 which is great if you compare them to earpods 1, they have Bluetooth version 4.2 Airpods 2 have Bluetooth 5.0 but there is slite difference in price, I will tell the final price at the end of the review.

Communication distance is standard 10 meters from your mobile device.

The battery capacity is 37 mAh which gives you about 5 hours of listening time on 70% of music volume, and about 4 hours on 100% volume.

Standby time of the base is advertised to be around 300 to 350 hours, but I would more count on the 300 hours number, it also depends, how often you will charge the earbuds.

Wireless charging. If you have a wireless charger already, you can charge the base wireless.

Standart charging with the power supply will take about 90 minutes to 100% and wireless charging will require up 3 hours of charging time.

Wireless charging is on the front side of the base and starts with Baseus logo.

The frequency range is from 20 to 20 000 Hz which is the same range of frequency as AirPods 1. The transmission of the sound is 24 Mbps and twice faster in the 10 m range from your device. The sound is self is high quality, especially the deeper range of the sound.

However there is a small delay when watching movies or playing games, but it not very significant and you will not hear the difference if you don't pay very close attention.

The earbud also supports the Ip 54 waterproof and dustproof grade, which allows you to listen comfortably while it rains.

Now the final question, its price. I have compared them to their official counterpart and apple air pods one cost about 150 USD in time of recording. The Baseous Cost 29 bucks, and offers the same package plus newer version of Bluetooth system.

It also doesn't matter, if you have an android or IOS system which is plus.

So if you always wanted AirPods or you just want good but also cheap earbuds, you may be found your favourite music buddy.
